About. COMM 133, Ethical Problems in Communication, is an entirely online, upper-division, elective class offered by San José State U. This class focuses on the moral aspects of communication, using narrative to examine ethical issues in everyday situations. Class activities, discussions, readings and assignments are designed to develop communication skills necessary for effectively addressing ethical problems in a variety of professional and social contexts.

Textbook. Rosenstand, N. (2003). The moral of the story: An introduction to ethics, 4th ed. Boston: McGraw-Hill. ISBN 0-07-283346-7. Available from Robert's Bookstore and the SJSU Spartan Bookstore.
Assignments. You have three main assignments in this class: Online discussion, open book multiple-choice quizzes, project (analysis of a novel, film, tv show, or play).
