If you've pre-registered for the class, email me, Dr. Stephanie Coopman, at comm110@yahoo.com with your name and the message "I'm registered for your COMM 110 class!" Class begins Monday, June 4, 2006, and ends Friday, July 13. Be sure you access the class website on or before June 4 so you don't get a late start. The class website will be available beginning June 1 by 5 p.m.
Class process. We meet entirely online; there are no in person meetings. Class discussions and activities are asynchronous. Although there are dues dates in real time, you may complete activities, participate in discussions, and take quizzes 24/7. Discussions typically follow a calendar week schedule. There are no required real time (synchronous) meetings.
Description. We regularly engage in interpersonal communication in our everyday lives, yet seldom step out of that everydayness to reflect on those interactions. In this class, we'll examine theories, concepts, and research associated with interpersonal communication across a wide variety of contexts.
Class activities, discussions, readings and assignments are designed to develop communication skills necessary for interpersonal effectiveness and competency.
